I think pretty much everybody who understands anything at all about Economics has concluded a long time ago that Austerity is useless for fixing Economic Problems.
However, there is a sneaking, gnawing feeling at the back of my mind that suggests to me that a whole lot of Republicans may not necessarily believe what I just said.
It looks to me like the intransigents and obstructionists on The Far Right must believe that the more money can be cut out of the budget, the better off Americans will be.
This might have some truth in it if it didn’t mean sacrificing so many services that mean so much to the welfare – - – and sometimes perhaps even the existence – - -of so many people who really do not have the means to provide all their needs for themselves sometimes.
It appears that the budget whackers might be on an entirely wrong and disastrous track with their Austerity Measures.
