Baby, Birth, Delivery – Our Newborn Son Has Arrived!!!

After nearly 42 weeks of pregnancy, my wife had a scheduled Casearean section this morning at 9:30am.

The surgery lasted less than two hours and it was completely complication-free and uneventful. Except for the fact that at 10:08am, the newest addition to our family – Salvatore (Tor) James Constantino, T.J. for short – entered our world.

My wife is doing great and is with our newborn son as I write this. The early steer from the medical team is that she’ll have a speedy recovery; however, we’ll have to stay an extra two days in the hospital because that’s their policy and protocol for all C-section deliveries. We had family drive down from New York to stay with the girls – who are all on their way to see the baby for the first time.

This truly is a miracle and blessing from God! We’re so thankful that both Kim and our newborn son are both healthy, happy and here!!!

Following his baby-birth delivery, T.J. weighed in at 8 lbs. 14 ozs. and was 21 inches long with a full head of dark hair.

From the picture below, it’s easy to see where he gets his rugged good looks…  Well, I don’t mean to be rude but we’ve waited so long for him arrive – I’m going to spend a lot of quality time with my boy.

We appreciate all of the well wishes and support we’ve received during the past nine months when we first announced this journey right through the baby’s birth and delivery.

Since then I’ve written dozens of blogs about our impending visitor. So much so, that I was a bit worried that I’d run out of things to write about when he arrived – but now that he’s here I don’t think that will be the case.
