I look around and wonder ..
what changed?
It looks the same
as yesterday?
maybe I’m wrong
maybe I’m fooled
yesterday was 64
today it’s 24
is that it….
is that the difference
yesterday warm
today cold
yesterday a sweater
today a coat
yesterday’s warm hands
now covered in gloves
yesterday this heart
was warm and safe
today it is windy
and cold
looking to escape
breaking from the cracks
ripped and torn
yesterdays warmth
trust in the sun
disappeared today
lost trust came with
the cold wind
