Do Chickens Die For Jesus?

The following is My Opinion:

If what I have been reading in “The Onion” is true – - – and I have no reason to doubt that it is true – - – what a week this has been – - -the Chick-Fil-A Chain reportedly will introduce a new chicken sandwich this Wednesday with the somewhat fetching name of “Queer-Hatin’ Cordon Bleu.”

From what I can discern, there are already probably multitudes of good solid, Bible-Believin’, “Jesus-Lovin’” fundamentalist types (And, no doubt others as well) getting ready to line up and grab the first of these sandwiches that are said to show support for “Family Values and Morals” and to decry certain specified alternate choices in Life Style. (The Gay Life Style to be exact.)

My opinion is that Bigotry and Hatred were never intended by God to be “Family Values” and I guess that I will now forever be denied the privilege of  savoring the flavor of the new combo being offered at this particular food chain. I have my own set of values and they are totally accepting of the differences in various people.  God rejects no person who comes to Him and if that is good enough for the Loving God, then it is good enough for this old crusty fark.

In my personal opinion, I would welcome the idea of some popular fast food operation coming out (No pun intended) with something called “The Jesus Loves You No Matter Who You Are” sandwich. Now there is one that I could go for!

I might even be tempted to part with a buck or two for some really crispy “Golden Rule” fries slathered with a hefty dribble of “Judge Not” ketchup.

I think the “Bubbas” will go for the new Cordon Bleu thing, however – - – the “Straight” ones that is! (Is someone going to try to convince me that  there ain’t no Gay Folks  in Bubba Land?)

As a side note here, I am wondering just exactly how Gay Chickens are responding to this food chain’s newest ad campaign?  Maybe the chain doesn’t use Gay chickens . . . who knows?

John Liming - The Liming Liberal Democrat

An American Man, born in 1938 and a Veteran of The U.S. Military. I served honorably in The United States Army (National Guard) and The United States Air Force for a total of seven years and three months active duty during what is now known as The Vietnam Era. My passion is political observation and commentary. My intention is to discuss and debate the extreme conservative ideology that is hurting The People of this Great Country. I will examine the reasons why our beloved America has become so politically divided over the past few years and provide illuminating insight into why I believe this is exactly the agenda of The "Christian" Conservative Right. Written in my own words of course, and strictly my opinion...
