Have you ever wondered what flowers would look like if they were human? J.J Grandville, a French cartoonist, did! He used his creativity and imagination to create a series of floral illustrations in his “Les Fleurs Animeés” giving flowers some personality and character. These were first published in 1847.

Bluebell and Poppy, both happy and carefree!

Dahlia, the quiet beauty.

Pansy looking pensive.

Tulip looking regal and elegant.

I enjoy growing them, learning about them and I love creating bouquets of freshly cut flowers.
