Gourmet Seasoning For Many Foods!

Gourmet seasoning for cooking is an art and when used properly and makes everything A # 1 Gourmet delicious!

I have searched, experimented, tried and failed till finally coming up with a general purpose Gourmet seasoning that I think everyone who cooks will dearly love.

Gourmet seasoning:

Obtain all the herbs for this Gourmet seasoning at your grocer or local health food store.  The closer you can come to getting powdered ingredients, the better.

If you cannot find some of the ingredients in powdered form you can use a mortar and pestle to grind them down yourself or if you have one of those high-speed food processors you can use that to achieve satisfactory results.

Here is the recipe for my Gourmet seasoning:

2 teaspoons ground parsley

2 teaspoons ground thyme

2 teaspoons ground oregano

1 teaspoon ground rosemary

1 teaspoon ground basil

1 teaspoon ground marjoram

Combine this Gourmet seasoning in  shaker and mix really well.

Start out by using 1/4 teaspoon of this Gourmet seasoning per serving of whatever food you use it for and then increase the amount if desired. This is a trial and error thing and you will eventually find your own preference level.

Remember to add this Gourmet seasoning before you cook the food to which it is added.

I use this in meats, fish, poultry, soups, casseroles, vegetables and stews. It is very versatile and I believe it gives everything I cook that peculiar wonderful quality that comes from cooking done by the very best chefs.
