My Opinion
Did everybody hear the one about the man in Florida who is said to have pulled a handgun and killed a door to door salesman reportedly just because the salesman ignored “No Trespassing” signs and knocked on the guy’s front door?
Yessir! According to what I have been reading, the Florida resident simply asked the salesman what he was doing on his property and the salesman told him he was selling seafood and other meat.
With that, the suspect is reported to have pulled his handgun and shot the salesman twice – - – once in the back of the head which he later explained to police was “For Effect.”
The shooter then reportedly declared that he would kill anybody who dared to step onto his property.
Of course, the shooter is also reported to have told police that the reason he shot the salesman was because he was in fear for his life. (Why could not someone as dumb as myself have figured that one out?)- – Duuhhh!
O.K., this was maybe one of those “Isolated” incidents that we often hear tell of . . . who knows?
I personally believe we are going to see a whole lot more of these “Isolated” incidents as over-enthusiastic protectors of person and property get braver and braver.
But then what does my opinion count?
It looks to me like this kind of stuff only matters to people when it comes to their own back yard so to speak and in the interim, I don’t think anything is ever going to get done about it.
Especially not if Righties have anything to say about it.
Read More under the following link and then try to do some deep thinking about what could be done (If people wanted to do anything) to make sure this kind of stuff never happens to you or your loved ones:
And, if you think you have come up with a workable plan, tell it to your nearest Right Winger and see how far you get with it. I would suggest discussing this only with someone you know for sure not to be packing however.
I have a new question for the Blog Audience:
“Is it safe for anyone to knock on a stranger’s door anymore? Could something as simple as selling cookies for a school or a church or something end up in someone getting killed just for knocking on a door?”
Could this nightmare work the other way? Could the next knock on your door be from some gun-toting “Cowboy” just waiting for you to answer the knock?
These are strange times we are living in, my friends!
