How About A Super PAC For Disaster Relief?

My Opinion
Super Political Action Committees pour billions into political campaigns ostensibly in order to help their candidates get elected.
I think we have all seen a lot of the advertising (some of it very negative and often nasty and attacking in nature) being distributed all over the media and I hear that a lot of that advertising is made possible by money from Super PACs.
Now I have heard that Republican Candidate Mitt Romney has made an appeal for people to donate to The American Red Cross in which he asks people to send “a dollar or two” (If people have it to spare apparently) to the famed disaster relief agency to help out victims of Hurricane Sandy.
Personally I find it very commendable that this appeal was made and I too would encourage anyone who thinks they can spare an extra – - – dollar or two – - – to send it along to help out.
Spare change is, after all, better than nothing at all isn’t it?
Every little bit helps, doesn’t it?
Here is what I am waiting for folks:
I am awaiting word that some of the millionaires and billionaires who have been pouring millions and perhaps even billions of dollars into our elective process via the “Super PACs” unleashed by The Supreme Court suddenly announce that they are going to be writing checks for a million or two dollars each (and maybe even for more than that) to help out the victims of this Hurricane disaster too.
Do you think this announcement will be long in coming?
