It Is Good To Be A Democrat In 2012!

I Am So Glad To Be A Democrat!

As I watched the first installment of The Democrat National Convention last night, I was struck by the stark contrasts between the tone and temperament of that convention and the one The Republicans held in Tampa a few days ago.

The sense of happiness and enthusiasm was everywhere evident and there wasn’t one nasty, hateful, demeaning statement about the opposition!  It was all about the possibilities of America through national unity and cooperation and it was about the kind of future America could have if everyone would come together and forget about the divisive “Red State/Blue State” mentality so eagerly fostered and promoted by radical conservatism today.

I was pleased to note that the Democrats are not reticent about discussing their agenda or the issues that affect us all.

It is heart warming to see that Democrats offer compassion to the poor, hope to the hopeless and a bright future that can be shared by all Americans and not just the 1% who sit on their gilded lilies at the top of the food chain.

Never once during this entire television broadcast from the DNC did I hear bitterness, hatred, enmity or railing against the other side – - – only a focus on the issues that affect us all as Americans and the proposed solutions that I believe can lift the nation again and get the wheels of progress moving for the benefit of “We The People.”

It was so refreshing to get away from the “Hate Machine” for awhile and to sink my political teeth into some real substance – - – and my conscience is clear!
