Praise The Heros And Cut Their Budgets!

I am reading this article that says the Republican House Leader, John Boehner has publicly praised the first responders at the recent shooting tragedy at Aurora, Colorado while all the while considering cuts to their operating budgets.

Now that doesn’t make a heck of a lot of sense as far as I am concerned!

In the same report I have also read that some Republican Leaders – - – particularly Mr. Boehner and Presumed Republican Candidate Mitt Romney – - – both strongly favor what is known as the “Ryan Budget” which is said to target severe budget cuts for all first responders such as fire and police personnel.

So my question now becomes, why would someone in a position of responsibility come out with high praise for efficiency and/or heroism for the first responders while at the same time possibly planning to slap them in the face by cutting the money they need to maintain their high levels of efficiency and effectiveness?

Maybe there are some Republicans and/or Conservative types who would like to see the day come when these highly trained and dedicated professional public servants would be willing to work for minimum wage and no benefits or retirement or health care too?

If The American People allow them to get away with it, will they actually do it?  Will some of these great political leaders of ours betray these devoted public servants who put their lives on the line for someone else more times than we often imagine?

Is there any truth to the often repeated fear that some of the high-placed contemporary Conservative types actually are dismantling the American Economy one job at a time – - – were the Teachers in Wisconsin among the first such victims? – - – and is it also possible as has been suggested in another article I have read recently that these same Far Righters want to do the Middle Class in and establish an elite Aristocracy – - – an Oligarchy for the privileged and rich 1% of Americans?

If this is what is happening in America today, is there any way to stem the tide?  Is there a way to get a fair shake for these very-much-needed first responders and all the other Public Servants whose livelihoods seem to be under attack?

If what I have already written here isn’t scary enough for you, maybe you would care to read what is under the following link regarding this story:

John Liming - The Liming Liberal Democrat

An American Man, born in 1938 and a Veteran of The U.S. Military. I served honorably in The United States Army (National Guard) and The United States Air Force for a total of seven years and three months active duty during what is now known as The Vietnam Era. My passion is political observation and commentary. My intention is to discuss and debate the extreme conservative ideology that is hurting The People of this Great Country. I will examine the reasons why our beloved America has become so politically divided over the past few years and provide illuminating insight into why I believe this is exactly the agenda of The "Christian" Conservative Right. Written in my own words of course, and strictly my opinion...
