MY OPINION
Some Republicans are reportedly saying that the forthcoming “Sequestration” caused by some failure to come to agreement on the recent U.S. Budget uproar will somehow be an embarrassment to President Obama.
I think some of these same Republicans are actually happy about this impending potential tragedy for thousands of workers. From some of the stuff I have been reading and hearing, it certainly looks that way to me.
It looks to me like some of this “Sequestration” stuff is supposed to hit sometime in January,2013 when some pretty serious across-the-board cuts will automatically kick in on a lot of government programs and that the Defense Budget, for one, is not protected.
According to some reports I have been reading, some of the obstructionist Republicans whose stubbornness in the original budget negotiations led to the creation of the failed “Super Committee” that was supposed to solve this problem are virtually dancing in the streets for joy over the possibility of a major embarrassment for The President and his Administration if there is a massive pink slipping of thousands of Department of Defense employees when the Sequester kicks in.
In my opinion that would be totally in character – - – first create the problem through intransigence and obstructionism and then rejoice when thousands of people lose their jobs. In my view, this is how the “Job Creators” work and as everyone should know by now, nothing is more important to some Righties than defeating President Obama in 2012 – - – not jobs, not workers, not The United States Herself – - – nothing. . . nada!
I have read other nonsensical claims from some on the side of Radical Conservatism that the entire Sequestration is being blamed on President Obama and the Administration because of their alleged refusal to “Deal” at a time when severe budget cuts were projected as a means to force both sides to the table on critical items.
I think this kind of allegation is total bull patootie however because I think that everyone pretty well knows by now who the kink in the budget debate works were and it sure as Hell wasn’t the Democrats!
Does anyone remember the “Party of No?”
It is refreshing to me to note that Democrats are reportedly taking a high road in regards to the sequestration question and are insisting that Right Wingers get serious about cooperating in an effort to stave off some of the worst effects of the titanic cuts that are scheduled to automatically occur as the sequestration nightmare begins to unfold.
What I am wondering is whether or not the obstructionists will see the actual light of day and come to terms with their intransigence and finally agree – - – even at the last minute – - – to try to do something to solve this terribly difficult situation rather than continuing on the reckless course of sitting on their hands and doing nothing but casting blame on The President.
