House Speaker Rejects President’s Request For Time!
You know, folks, I once kind of thought that Obama had been duly elected as President of The United States of America by a vast outpouring of public support and voting.
If this is the case, and I have every reason to believe that it was, then that is supposed to make President Obama the World’s most powerful leader.
In addition to all that, I kind of had always believed that if the President had something he thought was important to share with The Congress and The American People, he ought to be given the courtesy of being able to deliver his message in a timely and effective manner in the appropriate place.
So, when I heard that The Speaker of The House of Representatives had received and rejected a request by our President to address a joint session of Congress at a specific time and the Speaker reportedly suggested another time for the President to speak… and The President “Bowed” to this rejection, agreeing to speak one day later…my blood boiled!
I guess the Republicans will be holding their debate on the date the President had requested—the debate that will decide which of the Ree-Pug Candidates will try to replace President Obama in the 2012 elections.
(You do remember, don’t you, that the sole purpose of Ree-Pugs is to make sure Obama is a one term President and that he isn’t re-elected in 2012. Remember when a few Ree-Pugs stood in front of television cameras a few weeks back and declared that ambition as virtually their only reason, their only aim, their only goal, their only reason for even being? (My opinion on that last part.)
Well, Ree-Pugs are supposedly so hot on “Jobs Creation” and guess what the President’s Presentation to a joint session of Congress will address? You guessed it…Jobs Creation! I guess the subject is not all that important to the “Pugs” after all! It appears to me the Pugs” want to delay The President’s speech until almost the very hour that the super-popular first game of the NFL season kicks off.
How many folks do you suppose will even consider missing a second of their NFL first game of the season to listen to The President Of The United States present his plan for jobs creation? Do not make me laugh!
So, who is running the country?
Is there any possibility that this action seemingly designed (In my viewpoint) to obstruct the President one more time is a extension of the partisan squabbling that has been going on since day one of Obama’s Presidency?
Do you think for a minute that the Republicans are even the slightest bit concerned about how to create jobs and get the economy moving again right now?
I am more inclined to believe that they are more concerned with who is going to win the election at this point.
All other considerations seem to have been put on the back burner. Remember that Republican ambition— to make sure Obama is a one termer?
As I see it, that is what is important to the Ree-Pugs right now– to Heck (Politically correct word for “Hell”) with jobs! Right folks? Am I right on this? Correct me if I am not! This is my opinion.
Do you think the two partys can ever agree on anything as long as this “Who is going to win the election” thing is on the front burner?
I want you to read the blog post in the blog by Mario Piperni.com and get a clearer picture of the kind of politicking that is dominating the Washington Scene right now.
