My Opinion
Republicans are reportedly slamming President Obama because many of them say they are seeing his policies on Welfare as being too far to the Left and too much inclined to lead America down the path to becoming what they like to call a “Welfare State.”
Of course my opinion is now and has always been that the Republican position shows little concern for the needs of folks who must depend on Welfare and that as far as I am concerned, they seem to be always doing things to either cut back on Welfare Programs or eliminate them altogether.
My personal view on this question is a question:
Do The American People want an administration governing them that provides for the needs of those who cannot, for one reason or another, provide for their own needs all the time or do the American People want an administration who seems to always be cutting back or getting rid of government programs that were designed to help those in need?
In my view, President Obama has bent over backwards to try to get things done that would help people in need.
He worked very hard to get extensions on unemployment benefits for thousands of workers whose incomes were threatened by an impending end to authorizations for extended unemployment benefits and he worked very hard to get legislation passed that would help millions finally get medical care when they need it at a price they can afford.
This legislation is called “The Affordable Health Care Act” and millions are already benefiting from it and the Republicans are still fighting implementation of it tooth and nail.
I do not personally see Obama as too far Left on anything. If I were to pick one thing about our President that causes me a lot of concern, it would be what I view as his willingness to let other people have their way about things too much of the time. If I were the President, I would have kept constant pressure on Republicans and I would have gone a lot further in explaining my policies to the People and a lot of the crookedness from a previous administration would have been called to account by now – - – something that, much to my surprise never happened. I think that was a big mistake.
I have a sneaking suspicion that if Republicans take control of the government in November, there will most likely begin endless investigations and charges and counter charges. I think if Republicans get the White House in 2012 it will signal the beginning of one big continuous witch hunt in Washington, D.C. We will just have to wait and see.
But we have this one particular bunch up in Washington who has said from the very beginning of President Obama’s time in office that their entire agenda would be centered and focused on trying to make sure President Obama never got elected for a second term.
From that time to now, all I have seen from that very powerful and influential group has been obstructionism of everything that The President has tried to do and then they have the unmitigated gall to announce to the World that he has failed in all of the things he has tried to do.
The utter hypocrisy of that kind of talk from a bunch of intransigents is beyond my comprehension.
But their propaganda machine seems to be doing a good enough job in getting a lot of people to believe their asinine cock and bull crap and a lot of former Obama supporters are reported to be jumping over to the side of the idiots peddling this unprecedented garbage.
I do have one fear about all this and that fear is as follows:
If Republicans should somehow get their hands on the reins of American Government in November, 2012, the Middle Class and the Poor will be in for one Hell of a hard time financially in my opinion and may not even be able to survive the austere programs being proposed by some powerful influences on the side of Radical Conservatism.
I hope and pray that my fellow citizens have better sense than to open another can of worms for the nation like the one that was opened in 2000-2008.
The country still hasn’t recovered from that one and now they want to do it all over again?
To my way of thinking that is totally unbalanced.
In my opinion, America cannot afford to repeat that awful period in History – - – but on steroids this time.
