Life Balanced

Using EFT as a Tool to Help you Achieve your Goals

There is a still fairly unknown little technique that can assist you in achieving your goals whether it’s to lose weight, stop smoking, get control over anxiety and panic attacks, control anger, decrease stress, and even many physical issues.  It’s called EFT, which stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques.  You may or may not have already heard of it.  If you haven’t, it’s definitely worth checking out.

For about 5 years now, I have conducted a small business here out of my home in which I help clients achieve their goals and lead more balanced and happier lives.  I combine Clinical Hypnosis along with EFT to help others remove negative blocks that keep them from transforming their desires into their reality.  The 2 biggest and most common issues I am contacted for is weight-loss and smoking cessation.  There is also a fairly big percentage of people who want to get their stress and anxiety levels down, and then there are the ones who have physical issues that doctors have not been able to find the cause.  I truly enjoy working with others to restore balance in their lives.  The biggest satisfaction I get is when they come in feeling distraught and then leave with a big smile on their face.  I have had several clients call me up after a year to report how well they’re doing.  One client sent me a nice little thank you card after a year and a half telling me that the techniques I taught them were still helping them tremendously.  Hearing those kind of things really keeps me going strong.  The more I see I am making that much of a difference in others lives the more enlightened and motivated I become in my own life.  There has only been a very small percentage that did not seem to reap any benefits from these powerful tools.  The reason for that is simply that they either were not ready to change, or they had too much resistance working against them.

EFT is a tapping technique that is similar to acupuncture except without the needles.  You tap on upper body meridian points all the while focusing in on what your goal is.  This tapping helps you to achieve a higher sense of self awareness.  Any emotional issue you are dealing with suddenly becomes seen in a different light.  Your perspective on the issue begins to change and your mind begins opening up to new possibilities.  Whatever negative block your body was holding onto is now becoming loosened.  I have had many clients have an “a-ha” moment and be in total amazement about how well the process works.  Some people think it’s simply just a distraction away from what is bothering them.  It is more than just a distraction.  You are actually facing the difficult thoughts and addressing the distorted beliefs, but unlike traditional talk therapy, the emotional sting is greatly decreased.  Some clients begin crying once they address hidden fears, worries, past hurts, etc., but it usually only lasts for a few minutes and then they have this sort of understanding and calmness that surfaces.  They usually, at that point, are beside themselves with relief and excitement.  Then comes the motivation to continue.  I send them home with their new technique they learned and I tell them to practice it consistently on everything.

What are some of the issues that EFT can help you with?  Here is just a few examples:

  • Anxiety & Panic Attacks
  • Phobia
  • Weight Loss
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Fear
  • Chronic Pain
  • Procrastination
  • Depression

When you combine the EFT with Hypnosis, you are addressing the root cause of your problem and incorporating Hypnosis to calm the mind and body.  I have used these techniques on my own self for several years now with great success in many areas of my life.  There are still some issues I have yet to work on, but that is mainly because of the resistant part of me that hasn’t yet been ready to let go.  Being aware that there is a problem is the first step to making any permanent life changes.

    Life Balanced

The art of bringing every area of your life into perfect balance. My whole purpose for the blog is to reach out to others in hopes of providing encouragement, inspiration, and motivation. The subjects I write about are ones in which I’ve experienced, or am experiencing, and I have chosen to share my own personal insights. Life is one big learning experience. If we want to continue to grow in our emotional and spiritual life, we must practice continuous self awareness of our thoughts, actions, and behaviors. Change can only happen when you are aware of your behaviors and thoughts. On this blog, my desire is to help others reach a higher state of focused awareness. Sharing your thoughts, feelings, emotions are not always the easiest thing to do. Fear is the main reason for that, fear of rejection, of facing reality, and looking face to face with what we don’t like about ourselves. It’s easier to brush it aside, ignore it, and continue on in our comfort zones.
