Chaos has erupted in the United States. Hundreds of children from all over the country reported missing. Stolen from their homes during the night while their families slept. Reports coming in say the missing children were taken right out of their beds. One of the most terrifying details of this unbelievable story is that there seems to be no one who saw or heard anything. This morning when they woke up unsuspecting families began to realize their children were missing no one was able to reach police. Many are reporting that although they tried again and again to call for help all phone lines were jammed. This has been declared a national emergency as authorities attempt to determine what to do next to try to take our children back. Hundreds possibly as many as a thousand children seem to have disappeared without a trace. Authorities are calling it an insidious act of terror. The head of Homeland Security has issued a formal statement saying they believe they know who is responsible. In his statement he’s also quoted as saying, “These men and women are extremely dangerous. Their modus operandi as ominous as the Black Plague of 1348.” He also stated that they were fully aware that similar attacks were being carried out all over the world. That this has been going on for years. The biggest question on everyone’s mind is: How did this happen in the United States of America?

I am a woman who refuses to be defined by roles, even though I am, at times, a willing actor in such roles. There is nothing I enjoy more than a good meal, interesting conversations with friends and quality time spent with family. However, I feed from the Mind of all that is and ever will be. In service to that god I appoint myself the Authentic Imp! My blog is my way of utilizing my original poetry, flash fiction, creative essay, memoir, itsy bitsy insights, and the occasional rant to say what I see in OUR world.
