When I think of the word ’comfort,’ what usually comes to mind is comfort foods, warm blankets, soft pillows, and cute babies, pets or animals enjoying the protection or shelter of loved ones. It is comforting to see other things that fit under the banner of comfort. Jodi’s exquisite bowl of soup set the stage for the rest of us to find other suitable examples for the photo challenge. The photos I selected for this challenge vary a little bit, however, I do offer up food, mostly desserts, our family cat Tangy, a few animals and more. I hope you enjoy looking at my contributions to this week’s Photo Challenge – Comfort…

Food is a great comforter and we reach for it for survival and to stave off emotional chaos and pain. Dessert works for some of us; I love macarons and a decorative sweet, while others reach for soups, savory foods or stick to your ribs meals. When we enjoy a well prepared meal, we feel wonderful inside; comforted, hugged and nourished. What foods trigger that warm hugged feeling for you?
