Very soon now all those Right Wingers who have been complaining that The Affordable Health Care Act is nothing but “Socialism” will have an unprecedented opportunity to prove to the world that they actually do hate what The President and the Administration stand for.
What I am waiting to see is how the loud mouths who always seem to be proclaiming their bitter distaste and even hatred for all things “Obama” will handle those rebate checks that some insurers will be sending out under the new Affordable Health Care Law.
The question is, “Will the haters keep their rebates and cash them or will they send them back to the government with a note that says, “No thanks?”
The rebates are reportedly being sent out because the law says that insurers must pay a certain percentage of premiums that people have paid on actual health care services for the insured and that if the standard isn’t met, the insurer must refund a portion of the difference back to those who paid the premiums on their policies.
According to what I have been reading, the average refund check that the people who are going to receive a check should average anywhere from somewhere around $150 to as much as $300 in some states.
Like I said, “This will provide an excellent opportunity for those on the Far Right who have been complaining about the President, the administration and their policies to put up or shut up on their ideological arguments against the Affordable Health Care Act.
Will they stand up for their claimed position and send the rebate checks back to Uncle Sam or will they cave in and keep the money and use it?
It may soon be proven that Righties can be just like everyone else when it comes to money. I think more of them will cash their checks than will refuse to do so because of some cock-eyed political principle.
